Hunger In Our Neighborhood

HVUUC is working with five groups: Jonesborough Food Bank; Second Harvest Food Bank in Gray and they have opportunities in many areas; Interfaith Hospitality Network in both Kingsport and Johnson City, and Hunger First in Kingsport.
Check the HVUUC calendar for opportunities to volunteer and contact the point person for that event if you’d like to participate, or email office@hvuuc.org with your name and contact info will be forwarded. Events will be planned for all ages and abilities to participate in. A yahoo group for posting information also is : HVUUCHungerinourNeighborhood-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Presently ‘point’ people for the above 4 concentrations are – Doug Chaffin, Jonesborough Food Bank; Sam Jones, IHN in JC and Sue Shuler, IHN in Kingsport; Tish Kashdan for Hunger First; Denee Mattioli, Second Harvest Food Bank.
