Hunger In Our Neighborhood
The social justice focus at HVUUC is Hunger In Our Neighborhood. HVUUC is working with five groups: Jonesborough Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank in Gray, Interfaith Hospitality Network in both Kingsport and Johnson City, and Hunger First in Kingsport.
Check the HVUUC calendar for opportunities to volunteer and contact the point person for that event if you’d like to participate, or email office@hvuuc.org with your name and contact info will be forwarded. Events will be planned for all ages and abilities to participate in. A yahoo group for posting information also is : HVUUCHungerinourNeighborhood-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
