Caring Team
The Caring Team supports our congregants in times of joy and sorrow by visiting the sick, sending cards, providing transportation for the sick and/or elderly, sharing casseroles, attending funerals, visiting the hospital and providing comfort to those in need. The Caring Team meets the first Sunday of each month at 9:30 before the Sunday Service.
The Caring Team responds to both Spoken Candles during our Worship Service as well as the Candles Card. The Caring Team may be contacted by emailing caring@hvuuc.org or by calling the church and leaving a message.
The Caring Team members are by invitation only, the the congregation helps by signing up for things like sending card, making casseroles, providing transportation, or by visiting congregants in the hospital on an infrequent basis. New Members are given the opportunity to sign up for any of these things at the Path to Membership Class. Any congregant is welcome to sign up for these tasks as they wish.
